Hot Stone Massage
(50 minutes/80 minutes) $130/$175
Connect with the Earth’s balancing energy as warm, smooth stones create a soothing, restorative massage. Hot Stone Massage is a deeply relaxing and therapeutic treatment, which uses heated, smooth, volcanic stones placed on key points of the body. The stones have an extraordinary energy and with the right combination of heat, oil and an experienced therapist, the treatment is deeply healing. The long, slow, firm strokes performed allow the heat from the stones a greater chance to penetrate past the superficial tissues to reach deep muscle layers. The heat from the stones increases blood flow to the area enabling deep muscular tension to be released. Like normal massage the pressure used is adjusted to suit your comfort level. It is generally accepted that one stroke of a heated basalt stone is equivalent to 5 strokes of the therapists hand. ***Please Note this Massage is contraindicated for people with High Blood Pressure, Parasthesia, Diabetes and Pregnancy. Reflexology can be traced back as far as 2500BC and has roots in the ancient civilizations of Egypt, China, Primitive Africa and the Native Indian Tribes of America. Reflexology works on the principle that all of the body’s organs and structures are mirror imaged on the feet. By using holds and pressure techniques you are stimulating the flow of energy to the corresponding parts of the body. This allows the acceleration of the healing to take place on these specific body parts. Therefore by treating both feet you are treating the whole body. Reflexology detects and clears most energy blockages found in your body, making it a great way to treat most conditions. The reflexolgy session also includes heated booties and during the 90 minute session you will receive a neck and shoulder massage for full relaxation.
(50 minutes) $130
A craniosacral treatment is different from other massage therapy in that the client is clothed and the practitioner applies very light touch to the body, generally about 5 grams or the weight of a nickel. Work is supported through the whole body including the pelvic, spine, face and skull.
Unwinding and Re-balancing with CranioSacral Healing Your session will be on a Massage table or face cradle adapted for a bed for your comfort to experience the release and Re-balance of CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, non-invasive form of bodily manipulation. The practitioner feels for the rhythm of the cerebro-spinal fluid, which moves up and down the spinal chord from the skull to the sacrum. This rhythm reveals where there are restrictions or areas of tension that require awareness. By sensing and following these rhythms the Therapist encourages the body to move and unwind in its own unique way.
During or after a craniosacral treatment, you may notice shifts in your emotional health as your body integrates the structural and energetic shifts in your body. Moreover clients report that they feel relaxed, rejuvenated, and their physical pain levels are decreased after treatment. We recommend that you allow enough time after your appointment to take a walk and allow the treatment to settle.
Patients often report feelings of deep relaxation during and after the treatment session. This is likely associated with an increase in endorphins, but research shows that the effects may actually on the endocannabinoid system. This is the same system cannabis effects.
Because the craniosacral system is connected to the rest of the body by its connection to fascia, restrictions can affect many other systems, most notably the nervous system, musculoskeletal system, vascular system, endocrine system, etc. Because of these relationships, craniosacral therapy is used to treat many different conditions.
